Stewards of our Planet Logo

Our students are working and learning about how to be Stewards of our Planet. This magnet focus area is designed to motivate students to think about the big issues facing our planet: weather patterns, changing habitats, hunger and poverty, landfills and recycling, human rights and world health. Students learn that being a citizen of this world comes with responsibility and that EVERYONE has the power to make a difference.

We look forward to students sharing their knowledge with everyone at our town meetings on Thursday, April 12th. Please join us! The town meeting schedule is as follows:

Grades 2-4 at 9:00am

PreK-1 at 10:00am

Our students are working and learning about "The World in my Backyard." This magnet focus area is designed to answer the fundamental human question, “Who are we and where did we come from?” It is a study of families and heritage as well as immigration. Students learn about the cultures and histories that are represented in their classrooms and in the world around us through interviews, biographies, diaries and other personal interactions.

We look forward to the students sharing their knowledge with everyone at our first town meetings on Thursday, November 9th.
