Our Mission

John C. Daniels School of International Communication is committed to the belief that all children are capable of learning. Through our dual language program, all children are instructed in Spanish and English with the goal of becoming bilingual and bi-literate in both languages by the end of eighth grade. We focus on the development of the whole child: intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially. Through this focus we address individual differences and needs while challenging and motivating each child to reach their full potential.

Our first field trip will be November 3rd to sleeping giant.  This trip supports our learning in science.  The unit the students have been working on is rocks and minerals.  We will see "The world in my backyard" come to life with a hike up one of the volcanic creations in Connecticut.  A great igneous rock example waiting for us to climb and reach the top.

Please let us know if you can come and chaperone!  We would love to have you come with us.

We would like to invite all parents to visit our third grade hallway and see the display for Hispanic Heritage Month.  Many of you already know the amount of work and research the kids did to learn about baseball players from different Hispanic countries around the world.

A big thank you to all parents who worked with their child on the take home project.  They are fantastic!!!Smile
